Sartorial striped tie crafted from Shappe Shantung silk, a distinctive silk quality characterised by a textured, slightly irregular and naturally matte surface. Shappe spinning gives the fabric a fuller and more structured appearance than conventional smooth silk, with subtle slubs and variations that are an authentic feature of the material rather than a defect.
The design features wide diagonal contrasting stripes, available in several colour combinations, including navy and burgundy, green and brown, green and ochre, and brown and beige. The interaction between the bold stripe pattern and the textured silk creates depth and visual richness, making the tie particularly suitable for sartorial, heritage-inspired and contemporary menswear collections.
The tie is made with an untipped construction, meaning that the inner ends are not covered with a separate tipping fabric. The reverse side of the main silk remains visible, highlighting the quality and character of the material. This construction provides a softer, lighter and more natural drape than a traditionally tipped tie.
